Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Psychology.
Experience: Not less than 05 years experience in the field of Education or Training or Vocational Rehabilitation of the mentally retarded.
Age Limit: Minimum 28 years and maximum 45 years as on 01/07/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.56100 — Rs.177500
2. PSYCHOLOGIST
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) Master’s degree in Psychology.
ii) Preference will be given to candidates who have undergone training or who possess experience for a period of not less than 01 year in testing or clinical work in the field of Psychology.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on 01/07/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.56100 — Rs.177500
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for PWD category. For Ex-Serviceman as per Govt. norms. No maximum age limit (i.e candidates should not have completed 58 years) for SC/ SC(A), ST, MBC/ DC, BC(OBCM), BCM and Destitute Widows of all categories.
The candidates will be appointed on Direct Recruitment basis. The vacancies are in Government Institute for Mentally Retarded, Tambaram included in the Tamil Nadu General Service and in the Tamil Nadu Jail Service.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Oral Test. The Written Examination will be held on 21/12/2019 at the following centres- Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore. Oral Test will be held tentatively in the month of March, 2020.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Examination Fee of Rs.200/-.
